Compumachine Technology Center

@ Essex Technical High School

Compumachine Technology Center was opened on Nov.20, 2014 at new Essex Technical High School.
Headed by Superintendant, Dan O'Connell, Compumachine Technology Center is equipped with the latest CNC milling, turning, and Swiss machines from Compumachine. The CAD/CAM center is equipped with Mastercam stations for the sole use of future machinists and CNC programmers. In addition, the center adopts FANUC CNC Control training simulators and curriculums, to teach the skills most relevant for real world manufacturing. Compumachine Technology Center will also be available for adult training programs, providing a platform for those interested in advanced manufacturing, to learn or expand their skill sets demanded by today's industry.
Essex Technical High School is a $133 million dollar expansion and one of the largest investments in vocational education in Massachusetts. The 400 thousand square foot building is on 166 acres of land.

    Testimonials From Local Industry

" My son attends Aggie and is in his senior year, so this past Saturday we (parents) were given the school tour by our kids, and I NEVER EXPECTED, for my son to ask if I'd like to see the machine tool Tech Dept :o . David,.. what you have done for this industry by your involvement with the school is AMAZING, I am so impressed and humbled by your generosity and commitment to our industry. I can't applaud you enough. Hopefully, others will join the parade YOU started, and give credit where credit is due. I have been telling everyone I've seen since Sat. what an amazing school, AND Just how amazing the machine shop is that Dave Shaby of Compumachine built ! "

" Look at that shop, not like our Davies but more like Diamond. RI needs to take a lead from what Mass has done and put some money behind this effort. "
